Most of my works are made from one piece of wood by using Japanese hand chisels by following natural tree shape. My works have the good mixture of traditional wood sculpturing technique and contemporary expression of cuteness. I leant Finnish, Szeklers´s, Japanese and Maori´s traditional wood sculpturing in Finland, Transylvania, Japan and New Zealand. I started the traditional technique of wood sculpturing in the guidance of Maori sculptor Eruera Ropiha in Christchurch art centre in New Zealand in 2005. He and other traditional wood sculpturings inspired my primitive expression of wood animals. In addition my learning experience of Japanese woodblock printmaking and contemporary Finnish art & design have taken effect on my coloring style.
